职位描述
Job Description:
1.Researches competitor products and conducts competitive analysis on new and existing products for assigned product lines.
2.Developes new product proposals including design sketches/illustrations,design engineering, line drawings, conceptual development package, new technology recommendations.Presents product specifications including lamping, style, finishes,and technology for presentation to sales and senior management.Comes up with design strategy, product scheduling and project management schedule including timelines of each project rollout.
3.Manages preliminary design review between the product department and manufacturing facility (China).Handles product sample review, prototype tooling release, preliminary process/manufacturing review, pilot run definition and vendor search and allocation.
4.Creates market strategy and market positioning statement.Coordinates photo shoots,sales kits and trade show samples defined with Marketing for each assigned product.Act as resource for catalog page layout,website design and specification sheet design. Reviews product literature for accuracy, intuitive sales/marketing value, and applicability for target audience.
5.Handles photometrics download & Application PDFs and sample cases design and engineering
6.Conducts product, photometric and heat testing on assigned products.Manages UL Testing and design modification.Coordinates order of UL samples, verifies and approves tooling, validates installation instruction by installation of product.
7.Sets preliminary schedules for production including pilot run, product and finish review, label production, and initial order quantities (IOQ)
8.Works with marketing to create introduction sheets for AMT and sales and agent introduction packages.Develops content for training presentation materials to be given to Marketing.Trains agent services and reps on phase in and phase out.
9.Conducts post launch analysis to review product, process and sales results on assigned products. Makes inventory adjustments as necessary based on results.Reports sales results and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field of study.
2.Minimum of 3-5 years architectural lighting product development experience with multi-national company.
3.Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
4.Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
5.Attention to detail in composing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
6.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks/demands and get results.
7.Strong organization and project management skills.
8.Strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in Microsoft Excel,Word,PowerPoint, Cad via Solid Works or Professional Engineer.
